Several great things have been happening for Decatur Boxing Club fighters over the past month. Big wins came at the Georgia Golden Gloves with championships being awarded to Karie Contreras, Jermain Burgess, Rashidi Flowers, and of course one more time to "kitten" Carlos Monroe. This makes Carlos a six-time Golden Gloves champion!
And big news with the professional fighters, new to DBC and Xavier Biggs' stable, soon to be world title contender Derek Edwards (25-1) will be seen Friday, April 8th on ESPN 2's Friday Night Fights from Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada battling Adonis Stevenson over ten rounds on the undercard of David Lemiux vs Marco Antonio Rubio for the WBC middleweight championship.
